TIMES MALANG, JAKARTA – A total of 6,383 Indonesian pilgrims from Group l are scheduled to land in Madinah, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, tomorrow for this hajj season. The Accommodation Team has stated that all hotels are ready to accommodate their arrival. 

The MCH team had the opportunity to directly review a number of hotels located in Sectors 1 and 2 of Daker Madinah. In Sector 1, there are three hotels prepared for the pilgrims, namely Plaza Bdr Al Maqam, Al Madinah Concord Hotel, and Safwat Al Madinah Hotel. 

Meanwhile, in Sector 2, there is the Abraj Taba Company Hotel. These four hotels will be occupied by the first section of Indonesian pilgrims who have just arrived in Madinah. 

For instance, at the Grand Plaza Madinah, which was located right across Nabawi Mosque has already prepared dozens of wheelchair for their occupants. For your information, this hotel has 1,079 rooms.  

Elevators was also provided for them to go up and down. Not only that, each room is equipped with two to five beds, depending on the size of the room. Additionally, it provides a refrigerator or minibar and other amenities in accordance with hotel service standards. 

Not to mention few water dispenser on each floor to keep the pilgrims stay hydrated. This considering the current weather is entering the summer season. 

The same thing can also be seen at the Safwat Al Madinah Hotel and the Abraj Taba Hotel. These hotels also provide various facilities for Indonesian pilgrims, especially the elders such as wheelchairs, water dispenser,  and more. And for your consideration, Abraj Taba Hotel has 1,473 rooms. 

"Those are the hotels that our Hajj pilgrims will be using in Madinah. The hotels are only about 100 meters away from the Nabawi Mosque," said Ali Machzumi, the Accommodation Officer of Daker Madinah, on Tuesday (23/5/2023). He also said that based on the visitation and inspection results, all hotels are ready to welcome the arrival of the Hajj pilgrims. 

"We are 100% ready to welcome them. Tomorrow, we will see how the hotels' serve the pilgrims. They are very well prepared to welcome them coming," he said. 

In addition, there will be 16 groups of pilgrims for this hajj season departing from eight embarkation points by tomorrow (24/5/2023). They came from several rmbarkation such as Jakarta - Pondok Gede (JKG), Jakarta - Bekasi (JKS), Solo (SOC), Makassar (UPG), Aceh (BTJ), Kualanamu/Medan (KNO), Batam (BTH), and Surabaya (SUB). (*)
